Relax in the peaceful surroundings of this well appointed comfortable 2 bedroom (1 Double, 2 Singles) Cottage set on 250 acres of prime grazing country. All you need to bring is your own food or evening meals can be provided on request. Take in the views from the verandah or stroll round the cottage garden while you plan your day....

Revel in the peace of country life, soak in the history of our Irish settlers and one of our local bushrangers (who resided with his family on Avaleigh). Participate in farm activities, or stroll over the hillside farm and meet our many friendly animals.

For Bed and Breakfast, our quiet and comfortable guest accommodation boasts one double room and one twin bedroom with private bathroom and toilet facilities.

Avaleigh Elms is a picturesque 3 hours drive from Sydney, 50 minutes from Bathurst and 20 minutes from Oberon.

The property is situated 27km south of Oberon on the Goulburn - Black Springs Road. Oberon is a pleasant country town 1100 metres / 4000 feet above sea level, on the western fringe of the Blue Mountains.

Caving at Jenolan, Wombeyan or Abercrombie Caves, trout fishing in our local rivers, fossicking, mushrooming, horse riding, bushwalking at Kanangra Walls. Our countryside is undulating and ideally suited for walking and observing bird life and nature in the stands of our eucalyptus. Visitors are very welcome to join in any of the farms activities.

Because this is a small working farm we can not have motor bikes, pets or firearms.

Evening meal provided on request in farmhouse with hosts Tina and John. Two Courses $45 per person ($20 per child).
